GO Kombucha, Hastings, UK is on the market

The owner of GO Kombucha based in Hastings on the south coast of England has posted this announcement to Instagram:

For 6 months we’ve searched high and low for a first rate pair of hands to train to take over from our head brewer, who’s moving to pastures new. Only, finding the right hands within a 30 mile radius of rural Sussex – an area of outstanding natural beauty a few miles inland from Hastings – has proven illusive, despite offering one of the best rates of pay and perks in the business.

So we’re putting the word out that while the preferred option is to continue making GO Kombucha forever more from Hastings, I’m also aware that being unable to “magnetise” the right person our way could be a sign the Universe is telling me it’s time to move on and pursue other interests and discover new adventures, so…

Selling GO Kombucha at the top of its game is another option: the brand itself; a 3555-plus strong customer base; a full house of Great Taste Awards; 5-star Trust Pilot average rating (thank you!); our reputation for making the finest real kombucha; celebrity advocates; years of consistent growth…

To that end, alongside our co-operation and training in easing a smooth transition would be our technical manual covering every aspect of production, including intellectual property, “secrets” garnered from over 19 years of learning, honing and finessing our formula – including the Holy Grail of metrics required to make the most perfectly balanced, “Love at first sip” authentic booch.

All of these things take hundreds of thousands of pounds to establish for start-ups, which is why after 19 years growing GO Kombucha organically we’re one of the very few, if not only, debt free booch brands to be owned outright, with no shareholders demanding a fast return on their investment or forcing us to cut corners for bigger returns. We won’t compromise and will never put our business in the hands of anyone who would!
